            Key Summary: Pulse Music is an offline audio player. All your music files, playlists, and playback history remain strictly stored locally on your device. We do not harvest, upload, or sell your audio files, personal identity, or contact lists to any remote server.
        

1. Information We Access & Permissions Requested

To provide offline audio playback, widget controls, and equalizer functionality, Pulse Music requests the following Android permissions:

Audio & Media Files (READ_MEDIA_AUDIO / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Required to scan, index, and play local music files stored on your device. Your audio files remain 100% local.
Foreground Service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK): Allows uninterrupted music playback in the background with lock screen and notification shade controls.
Audio Settings (MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS): Enables custom equalizer adjustments, bass boost, and audio effects.
Network & Internet (INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Required solely to serve advertisements and process privacy consent choices via Google AdMob and User Messaging Platform (UMP).

2. Third-Party Services & Advertisements

Pulse Music displays advertisements to support free software development using Google AdMob. AdMob may automatically collect anonymized diagnostic and device identification data to serve ads, prevent fraud, and comply with region-specific privacy laws.

3. Data Collection and Data Safety

In accordance with Google Play's Data Safety requirements:

Personal Information: We do not collect or request name, email address, phone numbers, location data, or contact lists.
User Files & Content: We do not upload or store your audio files, album art, or play counts.
Device Identifiers & Diagnostics: Google AdMob may process device identifiers (such as Advertising ID / AAID), IP addresses, and crash/diagnostic logs for ad delivery and security.
Data Encryption: Any data transmitted by third-party SDKs (such as AdMob requests) is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS).

4. Data Retention and Account / Data Deletion

Because Pulse Music does not create user accounts or store personal data on cloud servers:

Account Deletion: No user account registration is required, so no remote user profile exists to delete.
Local Data Deletion: All app settings, custom playlists, and equalizer presets can be wiped at any time by clearing the application data in your Android settings (Settings > Apps > Pulse Music > Storage > Clear Data) or uninstalling the app.

5. User Rights & Consent Controls (GDPR, CCPA, & Regional Privacy)

Depending on your region, you have specific privacy rights regarding personalized advertising:

EU/EEA & UK Users (GDPR): You can review, update, or withdraw your advertising consent choices at any time through the in-app consent menu or by resetting your device ID.
California Users (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to opt-out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising via the UMP consent banner.
Resetting Advertising ID: You can reset your device's Advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads at any time via Settings > Google > Ads > Reset advertising ID on your Android device.

6. Children's Privacy Policy (COPPA Compliance)

Pulse Music is designed for general audiences and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EU/EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
